ABSTRACT
Tourism impacts on children are the top loop through which we examine and discuss the crucial and often invisible role tourism has in the socialisation of children. The following two chapters are structured around three important topics: children’s socialisation intertwined with tourism, the role of parents in shaping children’s (dis)affection for tourism, and the cultural, social and environmental impacts of tourism on children’s quality of life.
