ABSTRACT

Chapter 9 discusses the realities of redefined relationships and what each party needs to be willing to do to make a redefined marriage work. It discusses practical issues such as the division of child care, work responsibilities , and sleeping arrangements. It talks about how one husband went from not allowing his wife’s girlfriend to enter their home to allowing her to become an integral part of his children’s lives. Support groups and therapists and their effects on MWLW are touched on. Also included is a section called “What lesbians say about the men they married. Personal stories flow through the chapter.
