Just when you thought you were done, here comes the moment that you now need to transcribe your official transcript into the online portal of those colleges requiring a self-reporting academic record. Each of your three years’ worth of courses, final average grades from each, total credit received in each course, and an accurate list of your current courses in your senior year will need to be loaded into your college’s applicant portal.
One, pay attention to deadlines! Much like the initial application deadline, say 11/1, there will also be a SRAR deadline. It’s usually anywhere from two weeks to a month after the initial application deadline. If you miss the SRAR deadline, you are out of luck. Colleges infer a failed receipt of the SRAR as a student no longer being interested in their institution. Do not let this seal your fate.
