Some colleges may offer an alternative, less traditional matriculation start via acceptance to an institution’s satellite or branch campus versus their main campus, which, for many, is idealistically slated as their most preferred and sought-after. Alternative campuses (satellite branches) and summer start programs can offer beneficial aspects to types of applicants for a variety of reasons and increase the likelihood of acceptance to a main campus.
