ABSTRACT

Students are often overwhelmed with the thought of being underwhelming to any admissions committee, when in fact they may be looking at their profiling potential differently. Let’s look at it this way. Instead of thinking breadth and width, think in terms of depth. To what degree does something hold your interest; what is its level of meaning, your strength of commitment. Colleges want to know how a student is motivated; what drives a student? Many people have capitalized on this newfound availability of time and space to think differently, to act in positive and new ways. As a candidate, ask yourself: in what ways have I utilized my time, and in how can I showcase that to admissions officers?
