ABSTRACT
The Common Application (referred to as Common App for short, and “CA,” as indicated on Naviance—a college and career planning tool) and the Coalition Application (CO or CoA) are two popular college application consortiums through which students apply to colleges. Colleges will indicate which application and method is preferred.
College and career planning programs such as Naviance and Scoir help to organize the application processes for students (indicating application type, date, method, and application requirements such as a letter of recommendation, per college) and help organize the student applicant by choosing the best, most efficient method of application to organize and complete the process.
