ABSTRACT
This book ends with a brief discussion of the future consequences of the ongoing evolution of the alternative finance market in Europe. First, the chapter outlines the main lessons learned from the past on the functioning of financial markets in the financing of entrepreneurial ventures. Then, it provides some interesting reflections and suggestions on the future of entrepreneurial finance and the role of alternative financial markets, including the crowdfunding market in its various forms (i.e., reward, equity, lending, and more), in increasing financing opportunities for entrepreneurial ventures. Finally, the chapter addresses some important questions that still need to be answered, leaving room for future research.
