ABSTRACT
This chapter informs both professionals unfamiliar with these two diverse modalities as well as those who currently use a sand tray with miniatures or figurines. Language matters, especially the terms of Sandtray or Sandplay therapy. Those who are trained in Kalffian sandplay know this immediately, but many others use the terms as if they are interchangeable. This is a mistake. This segment of the book clarifies the methods and techniques in these major influencing therapeutic modalities.
