ABSTRACT

We finish by emphasizing that what makes a perfect career is in the eye of the beholder. Success may mean seeing the world on a cruise ship, creating new roles off-Broadway, mentoring future stars, getting to play the classic roles wherever you can get cast, starting your own small theatre, or shifting to cabaret and one-person shows. We work with readers to understand their best pathway with our Rodgers and Hammerstein Values Wheel activity. The key, we conclude, is not necessarily to get to an ideal outcome, but to find the best possible journey given one’s abilities and circumstances.
