ABSTRACT

Drawing on the general data discussed in the previous chapters, we can now explore the issues facing us, as well as the technical solutions likely to remedy them. Since these are most often specific to each of the modes of heat transmission (radiation, conduction, convection), they should be treated separately. This chapter will therefore be dedicated more particularly to the protection of our homes from solar radiation, whether direct, diffuse, reflected or, alternatively, far infrared radiation emitted from surfaces already heated by the sun.
