ABSTRACT

The conclusions sum up the main findings and results of the book. After noting that the empirical chapters largely confirm the explanatory power of the liberal-rationalist theory of defence offsets, this chapter also highlights the theoretical, empirical and historical contributions that the book makes to offset-specific literature. The conclusions then illustrate the book’s original contribution to the scholarly literature on power diffusion, arms collaboration and the globalisation of production, before then discussing the limits of the book, as well as future avenues for research.
