ABSTRACT
The fourth chapter uses four longer case studies of 5GW to explain how 5GW could look like and what it can accomplish. The first case study is Stalin’s purges of the 1930s, which relied on the manipulation of different societal groups with the objective of consolidating power and reshaping Soviet society. The second case study is an examination of how the U.S. State Department, in conjunction with NGOs, local activists, and major U.S. tech companies, managed to instigate political change in the Middle East. The third case study is a discussion of Havana Syndrome, which is likely caused by a covert attack on specific individuals, using an unknown or secret weapons technology. The final case study argues that the COVID-19 crisis was manipulated by the CCP in pursuit of strategic objectives.
