ABSTRACT
Excel is considered vitally important in today’s world, irrespective of professionals in any field. This chapter helps the readers to understand basics of the Excel program, how to find the number of rows and columns, and formatting the decimal places. It illustrates the techniques necessary to handle data. The chapter also helps the readers to understand filtering the data using various methods. A Filter is an important tool in data analysis. It helps us display data selectively, according to the criteria set by a researcher. Advanced Filter tools can be used for further insight into the data, both textual and numeral, according to the format of data given. The chapter presents the information of freezing worksheet panes. The Freezing Panes utility is used when the size of data is large so that the complete data is not displayed at one point in time.
