ABSTRACT

This chapter describes “leadership on a blockchain.”

It explains how Asian leaders and their teams practice a new form of networked leadership. Various components comprise their approach, including following the start-up culture, encouraging a democratic approach to work, promoting transparency and trust, hiring and connecting domain experts, enabling team collaboration, and distributing leadership through their networks. Blockchain principles provide a new lens to understand the motivations and solutions Asian leaders are displaying for addressing twenty-first-century challenges.
