ABSTRACT

This chapter provides a leadership manifesto for the digital age and describes how to practice leadership on a blockchain. Information is sourced from Asian leaders, their teams, and global leadership experts who display a new leadership mindset. There is agreement that it is a pivotal time for leadership as a new leadership era is upon us with substantial renewal opportunities. The practice of leadership is shifting from concentrated (leader-centric) to distributed (team-enabled) in a post-heroic leadership paradigm focusing on less hierarchical organizational structures. Looking toward the future, the leadership process is envisioned as a form of deep human connection rather than a mere transactional process. There is also a stated agenda for leadership to make sense of the world and derive a greater social purpose from our collective business activity.
