Introduction

This book is about great language that all middle school and high school teachers can use every day to make a difference with students and parents. We call this great language “Great Teacher Language” (GTL)! Throughout this book, you’ll find hundreds of GTL examples that all middle school and high school teachers can use to make a difference “in the moment,” to prepare middle school students for high school and life, and to prepare high school students for college and/or career and life. Ultimately, these GTL examples are for you to use to transform student behavior, parent relationships, and your classroom culture.
