ABSTRACT
This chapter explores the role of heritage and memory in conflict situations. The practice of memory around conflict is politicised, contested and often divisive. Museums, heritage centres and heritage practice all play a role in how memory is mediated in a society. It is possible to remember better, but this needs a rigorous, inclusive and honest process.
