ABSTRACT

This final chapter explains how the operation closes down and the process of this happening, from the closing of the humanitarian centre and how families and teams leave, as well as what happens once it is closed in terms of support for those impacted. The chapter goes on to describe what a memorial service is, how it is organised and managed and what kind of memorials can be erected to permanently mark the event. This links together the chapters that explain how the operation is run and takes it through to the one-year anniversary and service.
