ABSTRACT
A larger-than-life personality who shifted to India because of the 1947 Partition was character actor Om Prakash Bakshi/Chibber (December 19, 1919 – February 21, 1998). Some accounts mention Jammu as his place of birth while others Lahore. His well-to-do family had a strong presence in both cities. Some time ago, a Lahore journalist Tania Qureshi (Daily Times, November 23, 2018) located his Lahore house in Koocha Beli Ram inside the Lohari Gate of the walled city of Lahore.
