ABSTRACT
It was on a request from K.K. Saxena of Aakar Books that I became ready, with some hesitation, to associate myself with this book as some kind of editor. The task involved reshaping into a book a number of articles on Indian cinema written by Prof. Ishtiaq Ahmed in two Pakistani magazines published from Lahore.
