ABSTRACT

This chapter illustrates the methodology, rationale and design in measurement and comparison of vocational school students’ literacy from the perspective of PISA. First, it introduces PISA’s view of literacy and discusses the multi-factor analytical framework which affects the literacy development of vocational school students. Second, it summarizes existing research on literacy assessment of vocational school students at home and abroad. Third, it introduces the rationale of this research, the methodology to be selected and the main contents to be explored.
