ABSTRACT
Writers are guided through strategies for revising their personal narrative, including self-conference and finding inspiration through mentor texts. Each strategy is modeled and can be adapted for writers in elementary school. “My Writing World,” an instructional tool in the Writing Studio, is available for writers to use. The section concludes with prompts for readers to connect what they are learning as a writer with what they are learning about becoming a teacher of writing.
