ABSTRACT

For ethnic cultures, if one emphasizes the commonality and universality among cultures, the distinctiveness of the ethnicity will be lost; similarly, if one pursues the differences and specificity among cultures, although the individuality of the ethnicity is maintained, the vitality may be lost, thus accelerating its extinction. Therefore, when researching ethnic culture and education, we must insist on a comprehensive analysis with a developmental perspective and a combination of primary and secondary positions in order to avoid the tendency of cultural single-factor determinism, cultural relativism, and geographic environment determinism in the relevant research fields, so as to truly solve the problem.
