ABSTRACT
This primary section will define and outline Freud's tripartite structure of the id, ego, and superego. We learn how the self attacks, fights, and feels shame about its various parts despite being unified by personhood. This model of the mind sets the stage for the other three thinkers who built upon Freud's theory.
