ABSTRACT

Chapter 3 will focus on psychological well-being (PWB) as a foundational element within the Why Care Model. PWB is defined as an individual's ability to think, feel, and behave in a manner that enables them to perform effectively in their work environment, their personal lives, and in society at large. The chapter will also include how PWB interacts with an organization's continuous improvement (CI) system in creating a thriving improvement culture. A thriving improvement culture is one that is growing, developing strongly, or vigorously flourishing, helping the organization to proactively manage change, both internally and externally.
