It points out that even when circumstances change, during the doctoral process, engage with your institution, seek the right type of support, and adapt timings and priorities as necessary. It makes readers aware that there are dark moments along the path to discovery and that it is part of your own, personal transformation. It presents concepts on self-regulation, change, and transformation to aid in understanding the emotional experience associated with the doctoral journey and the value of peer support, self-reflection, kindness, and adopting a Growth Mindset.
