ABSTRACT

This chapter is all about organization. Even if you alter only one part of your life it will affect the rest to a greater or lesser extent. The authors need to control as much of our lives as possible, for having the feeling that they are out of control brings stress. It’s true that often they can control only a proportion of the way they live and the decisions they make. Therefore it’s all the more important to know what that proportion is, how they might increase it and the effects of our decisions upon it. You need to do this in pairs and to be able to trust the other person. Decide in advance what you are both going to talk about. It is a useful exercise for people in relationships talking over one problem, but two individuals can talk about what is worrying them separately.
