ABSTRACT
Malinowski finally sailed eastwards from Samarai on 29 November (see his letter of that date, p. 65) and arrived in the Trobriand Islands on 2 December. He wrote to Elsie on 9 and 10 December, but this letter has not been found among the rest of the correspondence.
