ABSTRACT
With the arrival of the year 1919, Elsie completed her four years training to become a qualified nurse. To thank her for her work on nursing reform John Lemmon and his associates gave her a present and a signed scroll, while at Melbourne Hospital she had a farewell gathering and received her nurse’s certificate. She and Bronio had decided to marry on 6th March.
