ABSTRACT
Although the terms UK, Britain and England are often used interchangeably, strictly speaking they mean different things. The United Kingdom is composed of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. England tends to dominate in terms of language, economics and politics, but the other countries have their own sense of national identity and languages, Welsh being particularly strong. British Telecom produces telephone directories, CD-ROMs and an online service, any of which might be available in a public library. Annual reports of public companies will show all holdings which amount to 3% or more of the shares. Both current directorships and a chronological list of the prospect’s previous business career can be taken from biographical directories.
