ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on burglary and the consequences of this kind of behaviour. The facilitator reads through an article entitled ‘Burglars Target Housing’ before engaging the young people in focusing upon a series of key questions. The chapter allows the young people to focus upon a related problem and to utilise a structured solution focused format for solving the problem. The newspaper article entitled ‘Burglars Target Housing’ details how there have been fourteen recorded break-ins in the last four weeks on a specific Council Estate. The young people are asked to engage in problem-solving, identifying what could be done to help prevent burglaries.
