ABSTRACT
The facilitator should take a little time at the beginning of the session to welcome every pupil by saying, ‘Hello,’ to them by name. Once the facilitator has welcomed everyone the facilitator can remind the pupils that they have come to this group to take part in some fun activities. Pupils can be reminded of the structure of the session and what they will be asked to do. Pupils remain seated in a circle and are next reintroduced to the three characters in the story, Ella, Amir and their teacher Miss Summers. As each character is named the facilitator should show the pupils the accompanying picture.
