ABSTRACT

Armed with the knowledge of what respect and humility look like in an organization, it is a leader's role to ensure that the systems we choose to implement, and the design of the systems, reflect the focus on these drivers of culture. At a minimum, organizations need a specific system that addresses safety incidents and potential future issues at the behavioral level. A good safety system not only sets goals for improvement, but also tracks its effectiveness at both the results level and the behavioral level. Established in 1984, Forest Tosara Ltd., Baldoyle is a 33,000-square-foot manufacturing plant, producing over 3.3 million kilograms of Sudocrem per year and shipping the product worldwide. A poster displaying an image of multiple hands taking an oath is accompanied by the text March 2017, safety moment, knowledge sharing and cultivating a safety culture.
