ABSTRACT

This chapter considers the teaching assistant/learning support assistant role in working with neurodivergent pupils on a one-to-one basis, managing learning and progression with small group working and delivering a range of interventions. This chapter links back to previous chapters such as Chapter 3 looking at behaviour management, and Chapters 5 and 6 looking at assessment and strategies for progression. It includes elements on managing time and feeding back to the class teacher on pupils’ progress and outcomes.
