ABSTRACT

This chapter depicts the car crash and the author’s slowly developing diagnosis that including TBI. Life is demonstrated after a TBI in this chapter. This includes what it is like when it becomes obvious that things are out of focus and are not getting better. More symptoms evolve, many that seemed unrelated. Social functioning is off as well. There are a wide range of physical, cognitive, neurological and even psychological symptoms. The author’s speech, language and cognitive deficits tally up additional stigmatizing disability. The fast-paced world is moving on, but in her now slow-paced process, the author is left behind. The loss of herself starts to be apparent.
