ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses how the first responder can benefit from stress relief using self-hypnosis techniques. The survival mindset is broken down by six mindset beliefs that prepare the reader for optimal perseverance and personal growth in the face of danger. An exercise at the end of the chapter offers a prompt for the reader to practice self-hypnosis. The communication techniques are offered as an opportunity to facilitate the healing process only as an adjunct to support standard medical treatments. This focus allows everyone the ability to augment their approach during an emergency or even during regular times using self-hypnosis in the pursuit of self-betterment.
