ABSTRACT

The chapter brings a normative dimension to the book, without which it would only remain at the level of descriptive. We need to be aware that every specific field or system of argumentation has its own rules of argument evaluation. The legal field of argumentation has its own specific rules, which need to be followed if legal justifications want to pass their review in the legal context. Because many multi-modal arguments are able to stand that test, this assures us that it is worthwhile to consider them, or simply become more familiar with their appearances in the law.
