ABSTRACT

This book aims to provide parents with the tools and knowledge to educate their children about sexuality and healthy relationships. It answers common questions, such as when to start talking to your child about sex, how to discuss sexual behaviours, how to address gender and sexuality issues and how to minimise the risk of sexual abuse. The author emphasises the importance of sexuality education, given that children are exposed to sexual messages from a young age. The book argues that parents have a significant influence on their children’s understanding of sex and relationships and provides research-based advice on how to have these conversations.
