ABSTRACT

Teaching our kids to make value-based decisions can lead them to making better decisions that are fulfilling to them. This includes decisions in the realm of relationships and sexuality. However, making a value-based choice that feels right is a lot less difficult and much more satisfying in the long run. Value-based decision-making can help our children to come up with ways to deal with unwanted sexual pressure, including peer pressure, and to make decisions that are more fulfilling for them in the long run. As values change over time, it is important to re-evaluate them regularly to ensure they serve us and bring fulfilment. It’s essential to assess whether the values, the peoples learned growing up or acquired during our lives are still relevant or not.
