ABSTRACT
The prime objective of any business organization is to maximize its profit which requires lots of decision making by the company people, especially the managers. Research helps a business organization and its managers in their decision making by studying a problem in a systematic manner, providing solutions that are supported by evidences, using scientific tools and techniques, and is well documented. Research helps in decision making by providing solutions to a problem, which are thoroughly investigated, both theoretically and scientifically. One of the important roles of business research is to generate information that helps a decision maker in making an optimum decision. The business problem of simple nature which can be solved with the help of repetitive measures do not need the help of research too often. Dissertation format is the more extended version of the research proposal and it includes all the steps people talked about in the research process.
