ABSTRACT
This chapter concludes the present study by providing a general summary that highlights the main findings, conceptual discussions about interpreter ideology, and the original points of this study. Based on the empirical findings in this book, this chapter tentatively offers a conceptual construal of interpreter ideology with the aim of constructing a conceptual underpinning as well as acting as a catalyst for the ideological turn that will broaden the scope of the field. This chapter also explains the limitations that need to be addressed by future researchers. Finally, relevant research lines are outlined, interdisciplinary agendas are set out, and recommendations are made for future investigations.
