ABSTRACT
Chapter 10 concerns the elusive question of what makes some examples and exemplars more compelling than others. I offer a tentative outline for this by exploring the concepts of resonance and attunement. Not that these help us to answer the question in any final way but perhaps they offer at least signposts for further exploration. I turn to literary theory and the work of Hartmut Rosa to sketch an educational conception of resonance and attunement.
