ABSTRACT

This concluding chapter initially directs attention to the problem by providing a comprehensive overview of child marriage. It then summarizes the key approaches on which this book is structured, presents the research findings, and outlines the key elements of an in-depth analysis of child marriage as illuminated by the narratives of women who are the subjects of the problem. The analysis has led to the categorization of discourse typology into three key sections: “Causes of Child Marriage: Understanding the Factors”, “Perceptions of the Women Married Underage about Their Own Identities”, and “Approaches of the Women Married Underage towards Child Marriage”. Within the framework of these findings, constructive suggestions are presented for the solution of the problem, the vital importance of raising awareness and taking action for a solution is underlined, and the importance of bringing the problem to the agenda is emphasized.
