ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the role of habits and learning in the context of virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and artificial intelligence (AI). The chapter then delves into the applications of VR and AR in various fields, such as healthcare, military training, education, and business. It highlights the advantages of using these technologies, including cost effectiveness, risk reduction, and improved skill development. Examples include Impersive, a VR company, and the Virtra system used by police forces. Then, it discusses the changing landscape of education and training, focusing on the impact of VR, AI, and E-learning. It emphasizes the role of VR in creating immersive learning experiences and mentions the integration of AI for voice command interactions. It introduces E-learning as a method of delivering education and training courses at a distance. It traces the evolution of E-learning from its early beginnings to its widespread adoption, particularly accelerated by the Covid-19 pandemic. The chapter concludes by discussing the advancements in E-learning technology and its benefits while acknowledging challenges such as internet connectivity and a lack of direct interaction.
