ABSTRACT

The demand for Halal products, once primarily associated with Islamic dietary requirements, has transcended religious boundaries to become a global phenomenon. This chapter explores the intriguing shift in consumer preferences, as non-Muslim populations increasingly seek out Halal products. The focus of this inquiry is on the perceptual shifts driving this trend, the impact of Halal products on health and quality perceptions, the allure of culinary diversity, and the emerging awareness of environmental and ethical considerations. Through a multidimensional lens, this chapter unravels the rationale behind the non-Muslim demand for Halal products, shedding light on the complex interplay of factors that have propelled Halal products to the forefront of global consumer choices.
