ABSTRACT

Chapter 12 expounds the core principles of Marx’s theory of justice. Based on the unity of distribution and production, Marx’s theory of justice involves both distribution of means of production and that of means of consumption. On the core issue of distributive justice, Marx advocated the principle of “social ownership” of means of production. On distribution of means of consumption, Marx emphasized the principle of “distribution according to work” or “distribution according to needs”, according to the different stages of communist society.
