ABSTRACT
Chapter 2 discusses the author’s collegiate experience at California Lutheran University, the barriers encountered with access, and the challenges she faced to success at a Predominantly White Institution (PWI).1 Additionally, the author narrates her connection, or lack thereof, to student groups such as the Black Student Union (BSU) and the only DREAMers organization on campus.
