ABSTRACT
Education itself is transformative. From infancy to longevity, formally and informally, education changes lives, materially and spiritually. Classrooms are—or should be—magical spaces. University campuses are definitively places of hope—hope that the status quo is not forever, that low-income students can enter the middle class, that education and research will make the world a better place.
