ABSTRACT

This chapter is designed to encourage universities to take a new look at the full undergraduate experience, assuming an influx of transfer students at the junior year, while also striving for coherence for both homegrown students and transfer students. (Thanks to GSU professor Maristela Zell for the term homegrown for students who begin as freshmen at the university in contrast to those who transfer. She rightly objected to the commonly used phrase native students to refer to this group.)
