ABSTRACT
Many academics and higher education professionals are always looking for good examples of online presence. This chapter finds the organizational strategies, accountability structures, and motivation that people need to start their digital updates and to see them through to the end. One of the most effective ways to make sure people complete their full set of digital updates without flagging partway through is to set up an accountability system. There are many reasons why online profiles will require regular updates. The chapter offers some strategies to build online profile maintenance into a regular, and manageable, schedule. Once people have a completed profile, share it with friends or colleagues by posting about it on social media, adding it to the signature in their e-mails, or just talking about it at work.
